About Ruth Berry

Ruth specialises in leadership development and helping individuals to achieve their full potential. Her work involves liaising closely with senior leaders as a consultant and executive coach on change management, personal effectiveness and leadership issues.

Ruth has worked with several global client companies for many years. An example of this is Royal Dutch Shell, where she has worked as the Global Programme Director on a modular leadership development programme for the top two hundred plus leaders in Global Exploration. Other organisations with whom Ruth has worked include BBC, Sasol Petroleum International (SEPI), Fujitsu, Aviva and Laing.

Ruth is also a founding partner and board member of the Moller PSF Group which is part of Churchill College, University of Cambridge. Working principally in the Talent and Leadership practice groups these are the areas on which she is primarily focussed - enabling partners and professionals to improve in their leadership, influencing and people management capability. Professional Services Firms clients include DLA Piper, EY, Allen & Overy, Eversheds, Linklaters, Baker & McKenzie, BGAG and Olswang. Additionally, working alongside her close friend Gillian Secrett, as part of Moller Executive Education, Ruth has thoroughly enjoyed and is proud to be part of the delivery team on the DMGT project.

Clients appreciate Ruth's informal, down to earth style which is coupled with a strong personal belief in the importance of compassion and mindfulness in leadership, an area in which she is particularly experienced.

Ruth Berry

Previously, Ruth was the Director of Executive Education at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, a post she held for three years.

Prior to this appointment Ruth held a number of senior HR roles over a ten year stay at Ernst and Young, including five years as Head of Learning and Development for the Financial Services Office, specialising in preparing individuals for partnership and how to handle senior leadership roles.

Ruth qualified as an Advanced Executive Coach with the Academy of Executive Coaching and is certified to use various psychometric tools such as MBTI, Tracom Social Styles, Belbin and OPQ and has been trained by John Whitmore on 'Coaching for Performance'.

In her spare time, Ruth enjoys spending time with her family, running and worrying about the fortunes of Bolton Wanderers.
